For the second year running, Yell has been named one of the best companies to work for in the UK in the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards.

The 2017 list of the 50 best companies to work for in the UK were announced on 7 December 2016. Yell is proud to be ranked at number 28, with a score of 4.0 out of 5.

Yell team support Byte Night 2016 in aid of Action for Children

Team members from Yell’s Reading head office supported the work of Action for Children this month by taking part in Byte Night Thames Valley on Friday 7 October.

Byte Night is a national charity sleep-out in aid of Action for Children’s work with vulnerable young people across the UK. The event sees people from the technology and business fields giving up their beds and sleeping outside for one night.

Yell join in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning 2016 for Macmillan Cancer Support

Yell is pleased to have raised £806.39 for Macmillan Cancer Support by taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 30 September, 2016.

Team members in our Belfast, Scarborough and Reading offices brought in a wide selection of fantastic homemade cakes, biscuits and even sausage rolls for baking competitions in each office with all funds going towards Macmillan Cancer Support.

Experimenting with ES6

ES6 is one of the largest updates to come to JavaScript in years, and will pave the way for cleaner, better-written, more manageable code that’s less reliant on libraries like jQuery and RequireJS.
